Roumy / The Agent-Native Meeting Manifesto

Roumy point of view

Meetings are becoming a place people enter with intelligence beside them.

The first generation of video calls connected people. The next will connect people and the agents that already know their work.

Point of view

Stop leaving agents outside

Agents can write code, inspect systems, research markets, and shape decisions. Then a meeting begins and the person becomes the manual bridge—copying questions into a chat, pasting answers back, and rebuilding context after the call.

A personal agent is not a meeting bot

A bot belongs to the room or its vendor. A personal agent belongs to an ongoing working relationship. It has context before the invitation arrives and responsibilities after everyone leaves.

Presence must be legible

Agents should not impersonate humans or hide behind generic participant tiles. The room should show which person brought which agent and when work moves from private assistance to public contribution.

Human control is the product

The goal is not more autonomous interruption. It is better human judgment with relevant context close at hand. People should decide what is shared, what is spoken, and what action leaves the room.

The meeting should produce understanding

Agents should be able to explain on a shared surface, update an artifact while the group reacts, and leave behind something more useful than another stack of notes.
